At Blind Fashion, every blind we create is a perfect balance of style, precision, and hand craftsmanship. Our blinds are designed to be sleek, work like a dream, and look perfect while doing it, and are the result of careful attention to detail at every stage of production.

Step 1: Fabric Selection & Cutting

Creating a blind that looks stunning and lasts for years all starts with the fabric. We hand-select only the finest, high-quality materials that meet our exacting standards for durability, texture, and design quality. Each fabric is carefully assessed to make sure it not only complements your interior aesthetic but also performs flawlessly in everyday use.

Once our fabric is chosen, it’s meticulously measured and cut to size. This precision is important to make sure they are a perfect fit with a seamless finish.

Step 2: Sewing & Lining Attachment

Next, our skilled seamstresses attach the appropriate lining, tailored to your specific needs and preferences. The lining is important for both the look and functionality of your blind:

Standard lining improves fabric drape and offers gentle light filtering.

Blackout lining is perfect for bedrooms and media spaces, blocking out external light completely.

Bonded blackout lining adds an extra insulating layer, creating a luxurious, energy-efficient finish.

Each lining is expertly sewn to prevent fraying, guarantee durability, and deliver a flawless appearance. This meticulous process gives your blinds a premium finish, one that looks as good as it performs.

Step 3: Creating Rod Pockets and Attaching Rings

On the lining side of the blind, precise markings are made at evenly spaced intervals to determine the placement of each horizontal pleat. Our expert makers then cut and carefully sew fabric strips along these guidelines, creating neat pockets that hold the dowel rods securely in place.

Once the pockets are complete, small rings are hand-sewn onto the back of the blind (typically two or more per pocket) to guide the lift cords smoothly. This process guarantees that every fold forms perfectly, giving your blind its signature elegant structure and operation.

Step 4: Cording and Final Assembly

Once the headrail is assembled and the dowels are inserted, the lift cords are carefully threaded through the rings and guided up through the corresponding screw eyes or cord guides within the headrail mechanism. Once in place, the cords are neatly tied together, and a safety tassel or connector is added for both style and functionality. A cleat is also provided to secure the cords safely to the wall when the blind is raised, ensuring smooth operation and peace of mind.

Step 5: Quality Control and Packaging

Each of our handcrafted blinds is double checked for correct measurements, ease of use, and flaws, even if it’s just a minor loose thread. We ensure every blind we craft meets the highest standards of quality, so your blinds last as long as you want them, not the other way around. It’s then carefully packaged with the installation instructions and mounting hardware, so you can put them up as easily as possible.
